Got some questions about the 2015 Jeep Jamboree,  check below for the answer.

Q. Where is the Jamboree and when?
A. It’s at Rydal in NSW, just outside of Lithgow. It starts on the 1st of October 2015 and finishes on the 5th of October 2015.

Q. Is there power on site?
A. All campsites are un-powered.

Q. Can I bring a generator?
A. Yes you can, but there will be some simple guidelines to ensure the comfort of everyone on site in regards to noise and fumes.

Q. Is there water on site?
A. Yes, there will be plenty of fresh water available. With taps located around the site.

Q. Is there food available on site? If I need a supermarket is there one nearby?
A. There will be food, drinks and snacks available on site, more details will go up closer to the Jamboree dates. Lithgow is only 15 minutes drive away with several supermarkets, camping stores and anything else you might need like fuel and gas cylinders.

Q. Will there be toilets and showers
A. There will be plenty of hot, clean showers and flushing toilets on site

Q. How far is the campsite from the nearest Service Station?
A. The nearest Service Station is at South Bowenfels, which is 12km or 12 minutes from the Jamboree.
Lithgow has a range of services and is 20km or 16 minutes away.

Q. Are there any on site activities?
A. There are numerous activities planned including competitions, a travel ramp, RC track and the onsite track. They’ll also be activities for the kids to keep them happy such as FREE kids rides

Q. Can I have a camp fire?
A. Camp fires are allowed in most areas, there will also be a communal campfire available each evening.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Sorry, pets are not allowed on site.  Nor are firearms or pyrotechnics.

Q. Is there room for campers and caravans?
A. Yes, there is plenty of room for campers and caravans as well as lots of space for groups. If you prefer a bush style camp with plenty of shady treed areas we can cater for that as well.

Q. If I need power for repairs can I get it?
A. Yes, there will be a dedicated area on site for repairs with power available.

Q. What are the tracks like; will there be something for my stock Jeep as well as my heavily modified Jeep?
A. There are tracks for everyone; if you run a stock Jeep and are new to four-wheel driving then this is a great opportunity to test it out and have some fun. If you have a heavily modified Jeep then there are tracks that will push it as far as you want. And of course there is something for everyone in-between.

Q. If I want to go sightseeing is there much to see?
A. There’s plenty around Rydal and all within an hours’ drive with the Three Sisters at Katoomba only 50km away and Jenolan Caves 50km as well. You could also go fishing at Lake Lyell (10 minutes from camp), head off to Mudgee to a winery or just have a wander around Rydal and drop in at the pub for lunch. Keep an eye on the Jamboree website for more details.

Q. Can I camp on site on the Wednesday night?
A. Yes, the Jamboree camping will be open from 6:00pm on Wednesday for longer distance visitors, there will be minimal facilities available though so a Thursday morning arrival is preferred.
